Þessi bók er fyrir börn á grunnskólaaldri, með bókinni fylgja teikningar sem hægt er að lita inn í bókinni og klippa út og lita eigin álfadrottningu. Auk fylgir geisladiskur með bókinni -hljóðsaga - þar sem hægt er að hlusta á söguna og fylgja sögunni og myndunum um leið. Heil hópur fólks hefur komið að því að setja saman bók sem getur verið margt í senn: lesbók, hljóðbók og mynda- og litabók. Alexandra Chernyshova átti hugmyndina að því að búa til ævintýri um norðurljósin. Evgenia skrifaði svo söguna sem byrjar á þvi að lesandinn segir til sín og enda líka á honum. Guðrún Ásmundsdóttir leikkona segir söguna og Anna G.Torfadóttir hefur gert myndir við hana sem lesandinn getur litað að eigin vild. Alexandra, söngkona og tónskáld samdi tónlistina sem hljóma af síðum bókarinnar, Jón Hilmarsson lagði til ljósmynd sína af Norðurljósum. Árni Bergmann þýddi textann á íslensku. Samhlíða útgáfu bókarinnar "Ævintýrið um norðurljósin", Alexandra Chernyshova samdi nýja óperuballet eftir sögu Evgeniu Chernyshovu, mömmu hennar.

This book was made with love and in the most kind spirit by a team of people. One winter evening, Alexandra had the idea to tell about the northern lights and Eugenia wrote a fairy tale. This book is unusual already by the fact that, at its first page, you write your name but what will happen at the last page, you, dear reader, will know when you finish reading the fairytale. An enchanting voice of an Icelandic skald Guðrún Ásmundsdóttir and well-known to everyone, will read for you, The Northern Lights Fairytale. The wonderful drawings by Anna G. Torfadóttir bring joy and colour to the pages of the book. Using your imagination you can colour them with pencils or paint. You can also color and cut-out your own paper Queen of Elves. Alexandra Chernyshova created magical music that floats until the end of the book and fascinates you. Jón Hilmarsson put the book together and added gorgeous photos of the Northern Lights into the cover of the book.
 
Hardcover book is for sale in Icelandic language, but is possible to order a digital copy in Russian and English lanuguages as well. The Fairytale of the Northern Lights is a modern tale, which tells the story of the birth of the Northern Lights.

The book is an original idea and at the same time a story, an audiobook and a coloring-book.
